Job Description

As the primary colleague accountable to Broking for contractual documentation for client accounts assigned, expected to develop and apply increasingly expanding knowledge of basic reinsurance concepts and solid language writing skills to each contract/program assigned, under regular supervision. Responsible for delivering consistently accurate and timely contract documentation to internal and external parties. Has direct responsibility for managing own workload and deadlines with Brokers and others to ensure expectations are met on assigned accounts. Performs all contract drafting and document management responsibilities for assigned accounts, all within published guidelines and with supervisory guidance as needed. Viewed as a partner to the placement process and expected to be available to support those activities when needed, as reasonable.

Responsibilities:

Contract Support

Under regular supervision, perform all or some of the following core job functions:
Management of assigned client base for all aspects of reinsurance contracts.
Interpret and assess contracts and perform quality assurance review to ensure contract wording reflects intent of reinsurance negotiations.
Input contract status data on the electronic document tracking system.
Utilize CSS Dashboard and/other legacy tracking tools to manage contract performance.
Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets.

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor’s Degree and related or transferable experience preferred.

Experience

Exposure to a corporate environment preferred for entry into this role; 3 years related experience in insurance/reinsurance industry desired.

Our Document Proofers and Processors are called Operations Specialists for internal purposes. These administrative support members are responsible for processing clinical study research documents while utilizing our proprietary software. Over time you will have the opportunity to rotate between various functions and gain new skills. Although having knowledge of medical terminology is helpful, it is not required; we will start our new hires in a 5-week paid training program. • The primary responsibility will be to collect, revise, and process clinical trial and protocol documents in preparation for our board’s review.

• Work effectively in a queue with high volumes and frequent changes, all while meeting rigid deadlines.
• Maintain both speed and accuracy requirements.
• Some overtime is often required in order to meet deadlines and to help clinical trial participants.

Job Requirements:
• Must have a high school diploma, although degrees are preferred. Although this is not a writing job, but a formatting job, we find people who have a degree in writing, editing, English, etc… have learned the job fairly well.
• Must have 2+ years of admin experience. We need people with experience reviewing documents and attention to detail were part of their work performance.
• A background in utilizing software programs will enhance their ability to learn our role
• Intermediate to expert skills with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.

This position is for a recognized master in professional discipline in Catastrophe Risk Management, who provides overall project management and review for complex, large, or highly-customized catastrophe analyses, using analyses and reports that have been prepared by project team members.
